The Warehouse
The Warehouse is where all the items you gather in TrainStation 2 are stored. The amount of materials held in the warehouse can be expanded by upgrading it. The Warehouse becomes eligible for upgrades depending on the population of your city, which is grown by improving the Buildings in your city. Once eligible for an upgrade, the warehouse expansion must be purchased by spending coins. The maximum capacity of the warehouse is currently 21,700, requiring a city population of 111,580.
The population increases needed to make your warehouse eligible for upgrade vary quite widely at the start of the game, and eventually hit a series of three outsized demands when upgrading to 4,200 capacity (820 additional population required), 4,300 capacity (2,020 additional population), and 4,400 capacity (2,138 additional population). These demands extend only to these three specific upgrades, and then become far more reasonable once they are behind you. Another set of outsized population demands begin when upgrading to warehouse level 200, with a capacity of 20,500. This upgrade requires 2,000 additional population, with all further upgrades requiring ever-more-demanding increases in population.
